Dog Scootering!
aka
"Urban Mushing"
"That's cruel!"

The woman was ANGRY, yelling at me as my Doberman, Jetta, and I flew past her in the park.

Huh?, I thought? What's cruel?

Jetta was doing what she LOVED: pulling me on a dog (sport) scooter. LOVED IT!!!

"Jetta, turn!" I commanded.

Jetta slowed down, then circled back. We approached the woman and I told Jetta, "Whoa!"

"What's cruel?" I asked.

"You! Making your dog pull you like that!"

"You know what?," I asked. "You can't push a dog with a rope. My dog LOVES pulling me on this scooter!"

She looked puzzled... then she laughed. I guess she had to admit, you really CAN'T push a dog with a rope. LOL
I miss Jetta.

And I miss her racing thru the park, with me in tow.

She knew "Left" and "Right" and "Turn" and "Whoa." And of course, "GO!"

GREAT exercise! (For HER!)

This is the scooter Jetta and I had, a lime green Diggler Dirt Dawg:

Can dog scootering be dangerous? Ummm... Yeah. LOL Wear your helmet. LOL

One time Jetta and I were running - ok, JETTA was running and I was on the scooter - full-blast in the park and a squirrel popped its head up out of a hole and I didn't see it (or I could have instructed her to "Leave it," and Jetta pounced on it and I went flying thru the air. Hurt my shoulder for a couple weeks. As soon as it healed, we were back at it!

BUT, if you want something safer, check out Mark Schuette's Dog Powered Scooters:

Ready? Let's do it!

FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!
